Join Sukie for a sunset paddle unlike any other, blending her passion for healing through movement with the beauty of twilight waters. After your journey, gather around a fire pit on the river’s edge — a new GeoTrippin feature that can be added to any sunset tour from Genung’s Fish Camp.
Sukie is a L2 ACA certified Kayak Instructor, guide trainer, and holistic health coach. A member of Team Onyx, REI Experiences, and numerous non-profits geared towards inclusive outdoor experiences for neglected and abused populations. She is a fitness and yoga advocate, and lifelong seeker of healing through movement. After completing marathons, she faced a turning point in life: leaving an abusive marriage, redefining herself, and rediscovering strength through adventure racing, kayaking, and the outdoors.
Her journey with GeoTrippin began as a guest on a bioluminescent paddle. From there, she trained in kayaking, earned her ACA certification, and began guiding full moon tours and serving as a sweeper. A natural muse and mentor, she now blends her background in wellness with her love for adventure, creating experiences that are about more than just paddling — they are about reclaiming joy, peace, and inspiration in the great outdoors.
Today, Sukie brings her free spirit to every trip she leads, inviting others — especially those who may feel neglected, weary, or uncertain of their own strength — to see themselves clearly in the healing mirror of nature.
Since 1948, Genung’s Fish Camp is available to your gathering place on the Matanzas River for a riverfront sunset fire. The vibe blends Old Florida charm with a love for the water. What began as a simple fish camp has grown into a hub for paddlers, anglers, and explorers seeking authentic coastal experiences.
Today, Genung’s isn’t just a launch site — it’s a community landmark where stories are shared, oysters are savored, and adventures begin. With its dockside views, friendly spirit, and deep connection to the river, Genung’s serves as the perfect home base for GeoTrippin tours. Every paddle that launches from here carries forward a legacy of family, community, and respect for the waters of Matanzas.
